La Ruche La Salle welcomes you all year throughout the four seasons during the school holidays for camps Nature/Mountain/Sport and Culture in the heart of the Aravis mountains at an altitude of 1500 metres.

Each project is unique and tailored to your wishes and needs. We are here to help you put together your youth visits.

The aim of La Ruche La Salle is to guide each group during their stay based on the fundamental principles of the “Holy Educator”, Jean-Baptiste de La Salle:

  • Discover and learn to live together,
  • Respect the rules given to you,
  • Learn to be autonomous.

  • Winter sports and the mountain in winter

Alpine skiing in the skiable area of Manigod, linked to the area of La Clusaz.

The Beauregard plateau extends over 36 kilometres and has 8 well-maintained cross-country ski slopes.

The biathlon (Cross-country skiing and laser rifle) can also be done in the Beauregard area, as well as snowshoe hikes, igloo building, dog sledging, rides in paret (single-runner sledge) and conventional sledge…

  • Nature and Heritage

Discovery of mountain life in winter, alpine pastures, flora and fauna, the woods, farms and the production of Reblochon cheese, as well as the tasting of local products.
  • “IN SITU” workshops and activities

Workshops inside and outside, from La Ruche-La Salle to Col de la Croix-Fry, or in the forest heading towards Beauregard Plateau.

According to your education plans and your wishes, leaders can come on-site to the La Ruche-La Salle Centre.

Examples: workshops from the Wood and Forest Eco-museum, nature shows with “Natur’en vie”, calligraphy, pottery, wood sculpture, yoga, music…

Mountain professionals come to talk about their jobs. For example: Labellemontagne, management company of the ski resort shows and explains about life at Manigod ski resort throughout the four seasons by way of not only historical and economic aspects for tourism but also ecological ones too. They can also take you to the resort, so you can discover technical aspects and the making of snow.

  • Sports in the Aravis mountains and on Lake Annecy

Hiking, walks, fun and educational exploration of the surroundings (rallies, orientation courses and led walks), climbing, Via Ferrata, high wire courses, archery, mountain biking on paths marked out by mountain guides and nature leaders.

Near La Ruche, Lake Annecy, sometimes nicknamed “Lac Bleu” (Blue Lake) is the second biggest lake by area in France. Surrounded by magical mountain landscapes, it is also a very pretty summer lakeside resort. Many water-sport activities are possible there (canoeing, kayaking, paddle-boat…), not forgetting lazing about on the beach and sunbathing, and also for those who are more daring – hang-gliding…

  • History – Heritage – Culture

Learn the history of the French Resistance during the Second World War 1939-1945 with visits to Glières Plateau and to the Resistance Museum of Morette in Thônes.

    – Castle visits: Menton Castle

    – Annecy Castle Museum

    – Visit to the town of Annecy…

  • In the evenings...
